How to Understand NEMA Ratings on Electronics Enclosure?

NEMA 12 – This enclosure is being used for indoor use and it gives an amazing amount of protection from ingress of solid or foreign objects. As well as protection from non-corrosive liquids.

NEMA 13 –This electronics enclosure is primarily intended for indoor use and it gives a certain degree of protection from solid objects, non-corrosive coolants or chemicals, oil splashing or seepage, dripping, or even spraying chemicals.
